Balanceworks Founder, Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor

 

Meredith is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Supervisor in both Arlington, VA, and now virtually in Virginia Beach, VA, and is Founder of Balanceworks Counseling. Meredith specializes in working with clients with eating disorders and sees individuals, couples, families and runs therapy groups for people with a variety of relationship or family difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, and has extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

 

Prior to starting her practice in 2012, Meredith provided therapy to clients in multiple levels of care at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, as well as in the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, the DC and Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s after receiving her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. At these sites she provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy to men and women from a variety of cultural backgrounds struggling with the effects of trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She  particularly enjoys working with clients hoping to change hurtful and unfulfilling relationship patterns, manage the effects of depression and anxiety, and confront new stages in life. She is licensed in Virginia and in Maryland to provide therapy as well as Clinical Supervision.
