Group therapy is a very effective way to work on interpersonal struggles experientially, develop support, and feel normalized and validated in the struggles that you are experiencing; it is also a safe opportunity and environment to "practice" making changes that you want in your life. At Balanceworks, we run a variety of therapy and nutrition counseling groups. Current groups that we are running are listed below. Women's Eating Disorder Recovery Process Group
Currently, we are actively recruiting for an interpersonal process therapy group for recovery focused, adult women (18+) who want healthy, meaningful support around facing life without their eating disorders. We will focus on topics including but not limited to: relationships, friendships, work, school, family, coping, body image, and dealing with emotions in general. Group members have the opportunity to develop healthier and more effective coping skills and more effective interpersonal functioning through support and exposure to processing in the group. This group is meant for women in the recovery process who are motivated and engaged in individual therapy. We will screen potential group members prior to group to be sure that it is a good fit for the individual and the group. Please contact us with any questions or referrals for this group!
